Banktivity forum5/17/2023 I like Banktivity and would like to stay with the program, so I'm looking forward to having these issues addressed. These issues are annoying, because I've seen it done better in other software. Request to IGG: add the ability to import price quotes from CSV files. I can get quotes for those funds in CSV files, however. I've been unable to track down an IEX quote symbol for Mawer mutual funds, so my prices are not updating. Other programs have the ability to import security prices from a CSV file, which I cannot find in Banktivity. My other issue is Canadian mutual fund pricing, broken since Banktivity switched from Yahoo. Then I could connect RRSP USD and RRSP CAD to my brokerage RRSP account and the different currency transactions would be filtered into the correct accounts. Request to IGG: make it so transaction imports only import transactions in the currency of the account and don't import the others. My current suboptimal workaround is to go through the CAD accounts, cut the USD transactions and paste to the USD account. In Banktivity, this messes up import from brokerages: the USD transactions get booked in the program as CAD transactions. No financial software I have seen operates like this (apart from Wealthica) so I use workarounds like splitting a single RRSP acct into RRSP CAD and RRSP USD accounts. Questrade, a large discount broker, works like this, for example. Transactions are written in USD and the final amounts are shown in CAD at todays exchange rate works well. Created by IGG Software, it helps users pay bills online, track their spending patterns and maintain a budget. I also own CAD mutual funds.Ĭanadian users get used to accounts at brokerages managing mixed currencies (CAD/USD) quite well.
